Hardrock Cafe Manila Restaurant Review
Today we provide you with our restaurant review of Hardrock Cafe Manila.
The restaurant is in Makati City , Manilla, Philippines.
Lea and I went to Hardrock Cafe Manila with my brother and his wife. Being that, we were staying in Makati just before my brother, his wife and I were going home after our wedding.
How We Found Hardrock Cafe Manila
We were in the Philippines for three weeks and getting a little sick of rice for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Don’t get me wrong, I love Filipino food and tried everything (except for pig intestine). Anyways, we had a craving for American food and music.
Firstly, we looked all over our hotel area of Makati to find a place that served American food and music. There were family KTVs, but we wanted to listen to music, not sing. Someone recommended a certain bar to us that they said had a band and good food. However, but when we got there it was not open yet. Seems like things in Manila do not get started until much later at night not supper time. Hence, we are learning.
We ended up walking through the red light district of P. Burgos Street trying to find a place to eat. It was an interesting experience trying to find a place around there that met our needs. Ultimately, we decided to go back to the hotel.
We got a taxi and began our ride back. The taxi driver began to ask us what we were doing tonight. We told him that we were looking for a good place to eat with American food and good music. He said, “you want the Hardrock Cafe Manila”. I was just down the road and near our hotel.
Then, 10 minutes and 48 Philippine Pesos (only about $1) later we were at the Hardrock Cafe Manila.
The Hardrock Cafe Manila is found on the levels 3 & 4, of the Ayala Center, Makati, 1214 Metro Manila, Philippines. The Alaya Center is a recreational, shopping, dining, and entertainment development located in the heart of Makati. Specifically, it is on Parkway Drive off from both Makati Avenue and Abenida Alaya.
About Hardrock Cafe Manila
The Hardrock Cafe Manila is like any other Hardrock Cafe in the world. That is to say, it is a restaurant and bar with a Rock n Roll theme. Also, there are many eclectic music items and photos on the wall.
As for food, the menu consists of burgers and other American fare.
Also, drinks include beer, mixed drinks, wine and non-alcoholic drinks.
Hardrock Cafe is open daily from 11:00 am – 12:00 am.
There is music on the speakers throughout the restaurant while you eat.
Also, live music including great bands play later in the evening. Although, we never got to see the live band, we had a great dinner with good company and great atmosphere.
The band did not start until 9:30 pm. Therefore, we learned that things in Manila don’t really get going until later in the evening. Oh well, we now know for next time.
Our Honest Review of Hardrock Cafe Manila
We really enjoyed our time at Hardrock Cafe Manila. It is a great place to go for music, drink and good food.
The staff were very friendly, helpful, knew the menu and drinks very well, and
The food was very good. We ordered nachos to share followed by burgers. All the food was delicious. We really enjoyed the change and being able to have American food just for one night.
Prices were higher than other places in the Philippines. However, the prices were not out of line with what you pay in the west.
We would definitely recommend Hardrock Cafe Manila for your stay in Makati.
