Track Visa Status After US Embassy Interview
Why Track Visa Status After US Embassy Interview
Why do you want to be able to track visa status after your K-1 Fiance Visa or IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa embassy interview is over?
Obviously, because there is much excitement that this whole visa journey is almost over. When can you buy the plane tickets? When are you going to leave? So much anticipation is in the air.
By the way, congratulations on passing your K-1 Fiance Visa or IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa embassy interview. As a result, you are almost at the end with visa in hand.
However, now that your embassy interview is over, there is yet another waiting period. Hopefully, this one is very short.
For this purpose, the embassy now undergoes necessary administrative processing. These administrative steps are final case and background checks. This is done to make sure everything is in order before the embassy makes a final decision and issues the actual visa.
For example, this final step may take as little as a week at some embassies. However, at others, it can take more than a month.
Therefore, we give you the tools to track visa status after the embassy interview.
Don’t Buy Your Plane Tickets Yet
IMPORTANT NOTE: We still recommend that you DO NOT buy your plane tickets until after you actually have your Visa and Passport in hand. For example, there are many unforeseen circumstances during this final review step that might cause a delay. There is no set time frame for how long your case will be on Administrative Processing / Review. In fact, the embassy cannot even tell you exactly when you’re going to get your Visa and Passport after they issue it. It all depends on the embassy, the courier, and other factors like weather and shipping/handling.
We recommend that you do start looking at airplane ticket prices for something in the next one to two months.
For this purpose, use our airline ticket affiliate sites below to find your best deal in the near future.
Another option is to download the skyscanner App for iOS to track the best prices day by day.
