Pan Pacific Introduction
Today we want to do a review on the Pan Pacific Hotel which is located in the Ermita District of Manila in the Philippines.
The Pan Pacific Hotel is a fine luxury hotel that promises royal treatment by providing all guests with the impeccable Butler Service. Moreover, the hotel is a business style hotel, designed to offer a comfortable abode to business travelers with its excellent facilities and service. In particular, it has 236 all-executive rooms and seven spacious function rooms that cater to the accurate needs of the most demanding clientage.
In addition, the hotel caters to Manila vacation travelers and people visiting the nearby U.S. Embassy.
Most notably, the Pan Pacific is consistently rated as the #1 Hotel in all of manila by Trip Adviser and other sites.
Pan Pacific has very big memories for Lea and I. In fact, this is the hotel that we stayed at after we met at the airport for my first visit to the Philippines.

Pan Pacific Manila
The Pan Pacific is located at the corners of M. Adriatico and General Malvar Streets in the Ermita District of Manila, Philippines. It is about 7 km from the Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport. Specifically located in the heart of the historical and cultural district of Malate in Manila, the hotel is just a short drive from the city’s convention, exhibition, and business centers.
Check-in time is at 2:00 p.m. There is a taxi loop where you can get dropped off by a taxi, be greeted by courteous staff to escort you and take your luggage inside. After check-in, you are offered a complimentary alcoholic or non-alcoholic juice in the lobby bar and seating area. Staff is always very helpful and courteous.
If you are driving yourself, there is free parking available.
There is a 2,500 PHP security hold required for staying at the Pan Pacific Hotel. You can pay by cash and have your cash returned when you check out, if no damage, lol. You can also have the 2,000 php hold put on your credit or debit card, and credited back after check-out.
When you are done with your complimentary drink, a butler will show you to your room and bring your luggage.
Once in the room, your butler brings your luggage in for you and shows you all of the features of the room.
The rooms are all large and executive style with either a king bed or double queen. There is a love seat, table, chairs, desk, flat screen TV, and refrigerator. The rooms have free wifi, free wired internet and cable TV.
The hotel is a tall tower. Therefore, there are stunning views of Manila Bay or Manila City.
The rooms are big enough to store your luggage and still there is plenty of more room.
The bathrooms are luxurious. In particular, they have marble floors and a marble vanity. Also, there is a toilet, rain shower and a separate bathtub with bath salts provided.
The air conditioning is first-rate.

Dining and Drinks
The Pan Pacific Hotel has five restaurants and three cafes. Coffee is always available in the lobby.
A breakfast buffet is available daily from 6 AM to 10:30 AM in the breakfast area. The breakfast area is on an upper floor and has beautiful views of the bay and city. Also, there is a garden walking area with wonderful plans and fountains.
The breakfast does have a dress code. For example, there are no swimming suits, shorts or tee-shirts allowed.
The breakfast is a fabulous big buffet spread. It is open every morning from 6:00 a.m. to 10:30 am. Specifically, you can choose hot Asian foods, hot western food, omelets or other style eggs to order, fresh fruit, salad bar, breads, coffee, juices, and more. Check your reservation. Frequently, you can get a reservation with breakfast included. If not, breakfast is 984 PHP for adults and 449 PHP for children (approximately).
There are several cafes and restaurants for lunch and dinner.
Things To Do Nearby
There are many things to do nearby the Pan Pacific Hotel.
For example, the hotel is in the heart of the historical and cultural district of Malate in Manila. Therefore, there are many government buildings, museums and parks nearby.
There is a lot of shopping opportunities nearby. In fact, the hotel is very close to the Manila Robinson Mall. Also, there are many small shops and stores nearby.
All around, there are many restaurants including Filipino, Asian, seafood, and others.
The area has several clubs, bars and other night life. On the other hand, one word of caution is that this area of Ermita is known for its Red Light District. For example, there are many adult bars and adult KTVs around. If this is for you, then you have come to the right place. Otherwise, just ignore it.
If you have an appointment at the U.S. embassy for your visa, the embassy is only about a 5-10 few minute walk from the Pan Pacific Hotel.

Our Honest Review
As a matter of fact, the Pan Pacific Hotel is the best place that we have stayed in Manila.
The rooms are luxurious, spacious, clean and have lots of amenities. In particular, we loved the bathroom with the marble, rain shower and separate large bathtub. Also, the bathrobes are a great comfy feature.
The beds are really big and comfortable.
With attention to detail, the staff is all very helpful, courteous and kind.
In reality, the breakfast buffet is the best of all of the hotels in Manila. Although, Hotel H2o’s breakfast buffet is a close second.
The hotel pool, hot-tub and pool bar is surely the best of any that we stayed in Manila.
In summary, we highly recommend the Pan Pacific Hotel for anyone staying in Manila.
